How Kids Art handles family data
This policy describes the universal Apple release of Kids Art for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, including its optional parent-controlled provider connections.
The short version
Kids Art has no advertising or tracking SDK, public gallery, child account, or developer-operated cloud service. Artwork and family memories stay in the app's local library unless a parent deliberately exports them.
Kids Art never sends a child photo, scan, saved artwork, voice memory, child label, name, school information, note, diagnostic text, or local file path to an AI provider.
What stays on the device
- Coloring pages, coloring drafts, scanned and imported artwork, thumbnails, books, favorites, dates, child display labels, grades, school years, tags, and notes.
- Optional voice memories and privacy-redacted diagnostics.
- Provider credentials in Apple Keychain and app preferences in the app container.
- When a parent opts in, artwork titles, dates, grades, school years, and tags in the system's local Spotlight index. Child labels, notes, images, and voice memories are excluded.
Camera, Photos, Files, microphone, and speech
Kids Art asks for access only when a parent chooses the related feature. Camera capture, Photos selection, Files import and export, voice memories, and private on-device speech are used to complete that request. Private speech fails closed when on-device recognition is unavailable.
Optional provider connections
Parent Lab can connect directly to a supported external image provider using the parent's own API key. It sits behind Parent Access and is not required for included pages, local coloring, capture, search, printing, or export.
Immediately before a request, Kids Art explains that the typed prompt and generation settings will be sent to the selected provider. The provider can associate the request with the parent's provider account and processes it under its own terms, privacy policy, billing, safety, and retention settings. Kids Art does not proxy the request through a root777 server.
Printing, sharing, and backups
Printing, Photos export, file export, sharing, and complete-library backup happen only after a parent chooses an Apple system surface and destination. Copies placed in Photos, Files, email, messaging, cloud storage, a printer service, or another app are governed by that destination after export.
Kids Art uses Apple's Files providers rather than signing into iCloud Drive or Google Drive. A complete backup includes family artwork, metadata, drafts, books, and voice memories. The backup is not encrypted by Kids Art, so the parent is responsible for choosing a private destination and controlling access to exported copies.
Voluntary feedback and support
Share a Product Idea opens a text-only draft in the parent's email app. Nothing is sent until the parent reviews and sends the message. Kids Art does not automatically attach artwork, photos, diagnostics, device identifiers, provider keys, library data, or child information.
If a parent sends feedback or a support request, root777 receives the sender's email address and the text they chose to include. That information is used to answer the request and improve Kids Art. Do not include child photos, artwork, names, school information, voice recordings, API keys, or other family content.
Retention and deletion
Artwork and records remain in the local library until a parent deletes them or removes the app's data. Provider keys can be removed from Parent Lab. Because operating-system Keychain retention can differ from app-container deletion, remove provider keys in the app before uninstalling when you want them cleared explicitly. Exported files and backups remain at the destination until deleted there. Voluntary feedback email remains in the sender's and root777's mail systems until deleted under their respective retention controls.
Children and family use
Kids Art is a parent utility with a parent-started Coloring Time surface. It does not create a child identity, ask a child to disclose personal information, sell personal information, show behavioral advertising, or provide child-to-child communication.
Changes and contact
If a future release adds developer-operated sync, analytics, advertising, or another data recipient, the app disclosure, privacy manifest, App Store privacy answers, retention controls, and this policy will change before that release ships.
